125th to do list

Brother Madden has made a lot of progress on the actual program for the evening and perhaps other items. I havent had a chance to connect with him so if I list something he has already addressed my apologies.

As I mentioned at Stated, there is the possibility that Frisco Scottish Rite may be available now that we have moved the event to February 1st. We are waiting for their response. This would help a great deal with the budget. Here are a few things that are top of mind.

1. Confirm venue This is needed for Cost, Invitations, programming and set up for the evening. It will also allow us to get our deposit back if needed and work with the caterer and Scottish Rite on planning.

2. Paper Invitations created and mailed. Brother Day has provided conent that we can use for the brochuire we discussed…

A few of the committee members have been brainstorming ideas for Long Range (3 year Strategic Plan) I will set up another meeting soon. I have listed a few conversations starters. If you have others, add a post in the Lodge Committee Forum and name it Strategic Planning Ideas. These are just ideas of what we may want to prioritize for the rest of this year (Year 1) and then Year 2 and 3

Year 1

On Going issues with construction, parking, and whether we need to consider a short term alternative for meeting

Plan for lower income- degree fees

Attendance affecting dinner expenses

Investigations

Leadership and Administration:

I feel that for the next few years the lodge will be in good hands with men qualified to lead the lodge, from the current WM to the sitting JD.

Education and Communication:

The process for Mentor Accountability needs to be defined and enacted ASAP.

This addresses the failure of some EAs to advance by making the Mentor more responsible for reporting progress as well as the EA to have a method of reporting his progress and satisfaction with his Mentor.

Providing informational programs aimed at bringing “light” to the newest members. Grand Lodge programs are available for each level of Mason. One night a month should be dedicated to mini-forums, guest speakers and other programs meant to engage newer Masons.

·        COMMUNICATION

o   We need to start posting a save the date on social and email. To do this we need:

§  The 125th logo being used

§  The venue nailed down.

·        MARKETING

We met last week for the Vanguard and Long Range Planning. Most of the time was spent on Vanguard. It is clear we will need a stand a lone meeting for LRP/Strategic Plan. I will highlight items that need to be addressed under the "Required Activities" and list the numbers in each section we can focus on as choices.

Lodge Admin-Required

1. Item 1 Brother Secretary will need to enroll myself and Br. JD in the Feb OLT. Br. JD will need 101. I will need 201.

2. Item 3 will need to be developed

3. Item 4 will need to be developed. I will schedule a meeting.
